...to our new home. You can even smell the fresh paint, can't you?

We're really pleased and excited to present to you our new website. As you can see, we've enhanced existing features and introduced new ones to make your visits here just that little bit more worthwhile.

Our top priority of bringing you important political news and analyses remains. The enhanced aesthetics is icing on the cake or, in more homely terms, the chai por on the chwee kueh. Equally important is that the website remains easy to navigate. All in, we hope you like it.

As with all good hosts, allow us give you a quick tour around the place. Our top menu carries the regular features of the party, our manifesto, archived material, etc.

Please note that on the left, you can access the page for financial contributions. For a party to grow we need funds. We need to keep our operations going and the only way that we can do this is if our supporters chip in. Please give generously. We thank those of you who have given in the past but the truth is that we need more finances just to cover our basic operations.

We'd also like to bring your attention to a new feature called Perspectives. This segment contains the more serious discussion pieces in our Vantage and Special Features sections as well as light-hearted snippets in Political Hors D'oeuvre. We've also added Feature Blogs where we will highlight well-argued essays from our talented blogging community.

We've also got a new Gallery section to house our photographs and videos that are multiplying by the week.

For those who are nostalgic, our Classics I and II will take you back to the older versions of the website. There's much archived material there for those of you doing research.

For our younger readers, we encourage you to visit our Young Democrat page. In there you will find the YD's Facebook. Come on in and be a friend.

Several of you have asked that we provide a News Feed service where you can be updated on SDP's news and events. So here it is (bottom of the left column).

And if you wish to email a post to a colleague or friend, print it, or save a PDF format just click on one of the icons on the top right corner. And what about leaving a comment at the end of each post? Mi casa su casa.

Enough already! We'll leave you in peace to explore the website.

Just one last word: Our new address is www.yourSDP.org. Please bookmark this and tell as many people as you can about us. This website is our only line of communication with Singaporeans (unless Dr Tony Tan has a change of heart). Our new email address is This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it although the old one still works.

Thanks for your support all these years. We press on. Again, welcome.

Hi, I really love the new look and I am especially excited about the comment section. Great to see a truely interactive political part website.

Excellent layout and look!
I always thought the previous red banner looked too angry and menacing.

Seems like this website is heading for bigger goals.

Great look, great features but aesthetics aside, this website will ever remain as the premier alternative feature in Singapore politics.

Many thanks and all the best. :cheer:

Although not represented in Parliament, SDP is streets ahead in the quality and transparency of its cyberspace amongst all the political parties here and that includes WP and the PAP. What a heady breath of fresh air SDP has provided us. I always read the SDP blog before the 147th ST, that way I can spot the untruths and half-truths propagated by the PAP Times on local politics as well as financial news. With the success of the Malaysian democratic Oppo last month, the world-wide march of democracy and freedom is now at our door-steps.Zimbabwe will soon be rid of their 84yr-old dictator (guess who's the other 84yr-old who wants to die in office?). Congrats to Dr CSJ and all other SDP good guys who created this new SDP blog....may you guys and your blog grow from strength to strength!

I hope this website can destroy the PAP's propaganda monopoly in this country.

They have been brainwashing Singaporeans with their drivel for far too long.

Great work on the website update. I especially like the comment section as it gives us an opportunity to interact with SDP and still allows people who want to remain discreet when communicating with SDP. Strange isn't it? Our First World Country still has this type of 'Fear' to speak up. I sincerely hope more and more Singaporeans really speak up their true fears and feelings and stand up for their themselves and families. Things should not be 'It is like this in Singapore'. Too many old farts are still living in history and the younger generation have to start making our stand or else it will be their country, not ours.

I like the comment part, last time don't have, we can give our views. Hope Dr Chee can lead us to a new dawn

Dear SDP,

It is nice to see you in a new webpage layout. I have been a regulor visitor to your webpage since 3 years ago.
Although I am not a Singaporean citizen, I am in full support of your cause which is also ours. Your web page is also helping me to understand more about the struggle for democracy. Thank you.

With best regards,
Aung

Awesome Words

If there is no struggle, there is no progress. Those who profess to favor freedom, and deprecate agitation, are men who want crops without plowing up the ground, they want rain without thunder and lightning.
