According to reports, after a wave of protests both inside and outside of the country against death sentencing for Farzad Kamangar, a teacher and a human rights activist, the Ministry of Intelligence, in an unusual and illegal move and without a warrant, transferred Mr. Kamangar along with Ali Haydarian and Farhad Vakili from Rajaei prison in the city of Karaj to section 209 in Evin prison.

In Algeria these days, attacks follow in quick succession. They are all, obviously, characterized by the number of dead and wounded they cause. The targets are always the same: the police, the military, and employees of foreign companies, as was the case yesterday for SNC-Lavalin's workers.
