| Sony to shutter Singapore parts plant by next month |

TradingMarket.com Sony Corp. announced Thursday that it will close by March a Singaporean factory that manufactures parts for Blu-ray Disc recorders.Production of optical pickup lenses will be shifted to China, and power source parts will be made at another Singaporean plant, where about 30 employees will be transferred. The other 100 workers will be let go.
