Yes, selamat hari jadi Pak Vincent = Happy Birthday Mr Vincent....see you in the Parliament soon...
  • govineela - greetings

Thank u all SDP (each and every one including volunteers) for working so hard for us and for all your sacrifices. Wish everyone has the courage to speak out what they think.

  • henrygpm - Kick out the PAP who are all sucking our Singapore
I have never like and accepted PAP as the Government for Singapore since LKY time.

Many things (projects or laws) are passed on without the consultants from the citizens. Instead it simply debated for the sick of debating (haha... for show only), and still passed as laws.

If the PAP says they are transparent, just like all opposition says - prove and shown to the people. Many things from PAP have never been officially pulished or make known to us such as :

    1) Where is the S$6 billion money that we have loaned to Indonesia (I remember Mr Chee Soon Juan asked GKT in 2001 election, Mr Goh, Mr Goh, where is our money, and eventually being sue to court and make bandrupts. Same go to Mr JB Jayarathnam). It is PAP style to "kill" any one who oppose the fu**ing PAP.
    2) Just like many opposition ask - why is the YOG overspend by more than S$200 million, and till date still no answer.
    3) The PAP government should only allow people who are made PR and get their HDB Resale Flat after 5 years of PRship. Above that, they should pay 10-20% above the HDB Rate (to prevent them from profiting, such as rent out the whole flat or partial flat, as many these so-called PR are instead speculator, rather than we being Singaporean who live and will die in Singapore). If fact, we should not give out any PRship to anyone who married to a Singaporean, until they have give birth to Singapore-baby, and if they divorced within 1 to 2 years of the marriage, their PRship should also be withdraw). I have seen many cases of China-woman, Vietnamese woman, Philippino marrying to Singapore, and after getting PRship, they divorced their husband. Didn;t the fu**ing PAP government know about these ???
    4) The GIC and Temasek have spent billion of dollars of our Singaporean $$$ to buy oversea assert and company shares. Did they publish out the gain and losses ?? No.
    5) Whenever the PAP government wants to build something (such as the Casino or MRT or expensive projects like the Marina Barrage, Spiral Bridge, which cost million and billion of $), did they ask for Singaporean to vote ??? No. They fu**ing cry, but still go ahead of these expensive projects.
    6) Why should PAP Ministers be paid so much more in salaries than what is USA president or Malaysia Prime Minister (USA Obama salary is US$500,000/year, while Malaysia Prime Minister is about RM20,000/month). Our Ministers are paid about S$1.2 million, which is about S$100,000/month. For these fu**ing PAP Ministers earning per month will take many low and middle income Singaporean more than 3 years to 8 years of salary. Also why should the LKY, GJT, LHL being paid more than S$2 to 3 million, while the useless Singapore president (that old and fat Indian man and his fat fat wife, just sitting fat, and get more than S$3 million per year. If these so-call PAP Ministers say that they want to serve Singaporean wholeheartly, then they should not consider BIG $ to their own fu**ing pocket. Instead, they shoulb be paid an average of S$20K/month for Ministers and S$30K for PM, and the President only S$10K/month.
    7) When we says the elected President, indeed it is the PAP people too. Can anyone remember Mr Ong Teng Juan or Devian Nair, who were forced to step down because they again the PAP Government. Instead that Fat Old Indian Man is a puppet to the PAP, who only think about is own benefit ($$$) and just do what the PAP wants him to do. We should check our President for accoutability and performance, and asked him to proof to the Singaporean that he indeed is doing a great job. Otherwises, what is the point of having a elected President, where he himself is a PAP dog.
    8) Like what all opposition says - the PAP Ministers are holding many potfolia such as NTUC Chairman Lim Swee Say, if you look at all HDB Blocks - all are PAP RC, PA Child-Care, PA this and PA that. So HDB is also PAP running dogs, who do not allows oppositions to set up bases at these HDB Viod Decks. In order to have these access, we should kick out Mah Bao Tan from his Tampinese Ward. Kick Out Lim Swee Say from his West Coast Ward, kick out George Yeo from his Ajunied ward, kick out Vivian from his Holland-Bukit Timah ward.

I am 101% support of the opposition, whether it is SDP or WP or SPP or SDA, I am all behind you. But sorry to say I am not the supporter for the Reform Party. That Kenneth JR is definitely not a good leader as compare to his father, who had fought all his life for Singaporean till his last breath. Because of his arrogant, many previous Reform members such as Alec Tok, vice-chairman of Reform party, join the SPD.

Therefore, I don't have any hope in the Reform Party to win the Clementi-WestCoast GRC. I hope this elections can put in the Opposition Aljunied GRC (Mr Low TK and Sylvia Lim) team, the Bishan-ToaPayoh (Mr Chiam See Tong) team, the Marine Parade Team (kick out the GJT team), the Tampines GRC (kick out Mahj Bao Tan) as well as the Hougang and Potong Pasir into the Palimenet, and really Kick/Slap the PAP and give them the electric shock of their live (haha... more than 30 opposition into).
  • Forward - Ardennes Offensive
Hitler had assumed thanks to his previous battle prowess that he could lead an offensive against the allies, SPLITTING them and reaching Antwerp.

    1) The operations failed because the same old blitzkrieg tactics were used.
    2) The Allies were determined as ever to prevent the Nazis from even gaining one inch of soil even though initially they were taken by surprise of the operation.

    Happy Birthday, Vincent!
  • citizenofsingapore - Happy Birthday Vincent
    Vincent, happy birthday!
Separately, while i am not really a supporter of SDP per say but i am a supporter of the opposition. I must say that you have change my impression of SDP with you wit and passive aggression when handling PAP. Not forgetting your passion and real stories. With these combination, it has certain made a difference as far as perception of SDP is concern. Credit must also to the rest of the newer SDP members.
Perception is reality, whether we like it or not. PAP has master that art until the recent emergence of the internet. So, to you and the rest of SDP, capitalize and milk this new platform to your advantage.
To get more support, SDP needs to better understand the different segments of singapore - ie young, middle age and the senior citizens. The educated, the heartlanders and the professionals. Every group communicate differently, but i do sense that you already know that, and am eagerly looking at how you and SDP strategize on this in the next few rallies left before polling day.
You focus on accountability is a good archor point, i suppose, singaporeans needs to be reminded over and over again, in the next few days of the possibility of HAVING NO SAY if GST goes up, ERP goes up, more increase in basic services, minister's pay. In your constitutency, for the much better off ones, they are also worried about health cost (do they have to downgrade to pay for health cost) but most of all i think they will be most concern about FT and how FT will compete with them and their children for jobs.
Finally, while SDP is not contesting in my constitutency, i would never the less have given you guys my vote if you guys had.
Hope you guys win, and create an upset...that would be a dream come true for many in singapore.
  • Truthseeker
Happy birthday, Dr Vincent.W! I have been very impressed by your speeches at the CNA forum as well as in the recent rallies. Sorry about the rain in bukit panjang tonight though.... Was not able to attend cos of family commitments.... But just want you to know l am supporting both you and your team. I believe that S'pore will have a breakthrough if our opposition teams continue to prove themselves with quality and commitment! Who will guard the guards if no one stands up against PAP?
  • cherylgill - Happy Birthday Vincent!!!!
    Happy Birthday Vincent!
  • Fringe_Observer - Well done SDP
Other than WP, I must say SDP is the other most organised this election, especially the team that led by Vijey! Michelle has turned out to be most surprising this election and it's a pity not enough mainstream coverage is given to her. Great presentation each time I view your videos.

Kudos to Dr Chee for bringing in this entire team together, and please keep your composure and exploit as much of the Singapore law for your advantage as possible.

There are many ways to do what you need to do for the SDP cause and work within the challenging rules. If you can defeat the PAP this way, consider it a extra sweet victory where their rules have backfired against themselves.

Unfortunately, i feel that by contesting in a Holland-BT Timah, where so many elite ministers and PAP people stay, it almost like going against a brick wall.

I wish the fantastic SDP team all the best and I hope you win. Wish i could vote for your team, but I don't live in Sixth Avenue!

I'll be voting for WP this election in East Coast!
