Refer Political Donations Act to select committee
19 May 2000
The latest move by the Government to introduce the
Political Donations Act comes as no surprise. For years the PAP has been
coming up with all sorts of schemes and laws to make it increasingly
difficult for the Opposition establish itself. First, there was the

08 May 2000
President-elect Mr Chen Shui-bian Dear Mr Chen and Ms Lu, On behalf
of the members of the Singapore Democratic Party, let me congratulate

of speech, assembly and association is not for the PAP to give. They
belong to us as much as our bodies and our minds belong to us. Take them
away and we become lesser, or even non, humans. The proposed
speakers' corner is not a right that we have claimed, but a concession
that the PAP, with whatever motives,
