I am an Australian and not involved in Singapore politics, but I heartily support and fully understand your protests against Gough Whitlam’s insulting comments about your Nation. I was quite shocked by them and as an Australian dissociate myself from them, and as far as I may I apologise for them. I know many, many other Australians share my feelings.
