Dear Dr.Chee
I was retrenched four years ago but until now I can’t get a new job because of my age. In Singapore it’s difficult to get a job once you’re retrenched. Moreover, my children are also suffering as they can’t get a place in local universities. These days I find that Singaporeans are treated like second class citizens. Foreigners are given all the top priority. Once a foreigner gets a job, their families move to Singapore as well. As a result Singapore is being overcrowded with foreigners.
Finally the death sentence should be abolished in Singapore. It is cruel and inhumane. No one has the right to take another person’s life. Please read the following article by Dr David Martin. It was posted on
