Long-time political prisoner Mr Said Zahari will launch his book The Long Nightmare – My 17 Years As A Political Prisoner.
Mr Said Zahari was detained in 1963 under Operation Coldstore by Mr Lee Kuan Yew.
He recounts his experiences in detention in the book which is the second he has written and published in English, Malay, and Chinese. Dark Clouds at Dawn published in 2001 was his first.
He is the subject of a video documentary made by Mr Martyn See entitled Zahari’s 17 Years which is banned by the Singapore Government but available of the Internet.
