The public forum this Sunday, organised by Sg Human Rights, will feature the following speakers: Mr Chia Ti Lik, Mr M Ravi, Mr Ng E-Jay and Dr Chee Soon Juan.
According to the group’s website there will also be a “giant greeting card” for forum attendees to sign. The card will be handed to the Burmese prime minister who is attending the ASEAN Summit
The forum will also have a petition that will call on the Singapore Government to respect the rights of Singaporeans. The SDP understands that there are more activities in store during the forum. Please visit www.sghumanrights.org for updates.
So make you way down to Quality Hotel at Balestier Road and support democracy and human rights in Burma, Singapore and ASEAN.
Don’t forget, wear red to express our solidarity with our Burmese friends. You won’t get a better chance to express your anger at the cruel Burmese military rulers.
