Singapore non-oil domestic exports or NODX dropped 12% year-on-year in May, slower than a 19% drop in the preceding month, the International Enterprise Singapore said Wednesday. Economists expected a fall of 11.7%.
Electronic NODX contracted 22% annually in May, following a 26% decline in April. Non-electronic NODX was down 5.6%, after a 15% fall in the previous month.
On a monthly basis, the NODX rose 5.6% in May, reversing a 1.4% fall in April, owing to higher electronics and non-electronic NODX.
