Singapore Democrats

Campaigning night…
The Singapore Democrats campaigned in Yuhua for the third straight week. Party candidates and activists visited the constituency last night and this morning. The party is stepping up its ground campaign there since its demarcation as a single-seat ward for the next GE.
The SDP is no new comer to the constituency. We had contested the seat in 1991 and again in 2001 under the Jurong GRC. It was like coming home again even though many of our newer members have not campaigned there before.

…and day
We also visited the Bukit Timah Food Centre which is very much the heart of the Holland-Bukit Timah GRC. Party activists distributed flyers and urged diners to visit our website.
The GRC encompasses part of the Bukit Panjang housing estate in the north and the Ghim Moh estate in the south. Again the constituency is not entirely new to the party. Mr Ashleigh Seow, son of Mr Francis Seow had contested in the Ulu Pandan area in 1991.
Since then the constituency has been absorbed into the Holland-Bukit Timah GRC which has not been contested in the last few elections.
