Singapore Democrats
Our medical doctors from the SDP Healthcare Advisory Panel will be present at the May Day Rally on 1 May to conduct health screenings for participants.
As part of our overall campaign to narrow the divide between the wealthy and needy in Singapore, the Singapore Democrats have drawn up the SDP National Healthcare Plan.
Psychiatrist Dr Ang Yong Guan and infectious diseases expert Associate Professor Paul Tambyah will also take to the stage to talk more about the Plan which essentially proposes a universal system where healthcare is made affordable especially for poorer Singaporeans.
Other doctors will also be present to conduct health screenings for those present at the rally.
The rally will also introduce new speakers who will speak on various aspects of income inequality, what has caused it and what can we do to reduce it.
As before, there will also be other fun and entertaining activities. There will be face and henna painting for children and those young-at-heart. Refreshments will be provided for all.
So spread the word and bring your family and friends. Come to our rally from 3pm to 7pm and, with your presence, send a strong message to the PAP that its elitist policies that divide our nation cannot continue. We need to urgently and decisively close the income gap and help our poor cope with the high cost of living.
As with our past May Day messages, we also want the PAP to stem the influx of foreign workers into this country which is leaving our infrastructure like the MRT system unable to cope. Our on-going Singaporeans First campaign will take centre-stage at this May Day commemoration
This is your opportunity to tell the PAP that its policies are wrong and to support the SDP’s alternative ideas and policies. So make sure you’re there with us on 1 May.
