On 8 Sept 2012, the SDP organised a well-attended public forum, “The future of Singapore – Do Malays have a part?”$CUT$ The panel speakers included Abdul Halim bin Kader, a former senior civil servant and PAP cadre member; Maarof Salleh, former president of MUIS; Walid Jumblatt who teaches at the Political Science Dept at NUS, and SDP’s Chairman, Jufrie Mahmood.
