Dear SDP,
I happened to walk around Jurong East, Chua Chu Kang areas and see the HDB void deck with so many police alert notices regarding the unlicensed money-lending harassment cases. It looked very serious.
It seems to me that there are a group or quite many Singaporeans who are really financially in need, but have no choices but ended up going to unlicensed moneylenders.
