This post is at least a year old. Some of the links in this post may no longer work correctly.
It has been six months of planning and tinkering but it looks like things are falling into place for the SDP’s 30th anniversary dinner this Saturday. One final rehearsal took place on Monday and kinks were being worked out.
As a result, the Singapore Democrats look forward to the evening. As we have a full evening, we ask our dinner guests to be on time as we would like to commence the programme at 7:30 pm.
We would also like to remind everyone to present their tickets at the reception table as we anticipate a full turnout. As we have promised, all of our guests will each be presented a complimentary copy of our landmark magazine. Additional copies will be available for sale that evening.
We are especially grateful to legendary figures of Singapore’s opposition such as Dr Lim Hock Siew, Mr Said Zahari, Mr Michael Fernandez and Mr Francis Seow, who have sent messages of congratulations and encouragement.
The organising committee has been losing much sleep these final days to make sure that things go as planned. Saturday afternoon will be one big scramble to put in place lighting equipment, sound system, and the final touches.
We are all excited about the evening and we hope to be as good a host and you are our guests. To those of you who still haven’t got tickets, you can still get one by calling Jaslyn at 9239-3133 or email us [email protected].
See you this Saturday!
