Singapores’s Government of Singapore Investment Corp. Executive Director Tony Tan said the sovereign wealth fund will examine investment in infrastructure projects offered by the Indonesian government, The Straits Times reported Monday.

“We would be interested in it because GIC has quite a lot of experience in investing in infrastructure (although) so far mainly in developed countries,” Tan said in an interview with newspaper without referring to specific projects the firm intends to invest in.

“By and large, there is a new air of confidence and I think, rightly established, that Indonesia has reached take-off point,” he said in the report, following a five-day visit to Jakarta.
