Malaysia’s main opposition party, Parti KeAdilan Rakyat (People’s Justice Party), has invited Dr Chee Soon Juan to its dinner in Johor Baru on 7 May 2010. Unfortunately, the Official Assignee has yet again rejected Dr Chee’s application to even cross the Causeway to attend the dinner.

The PKR is organising a fund-raising dinner where former deputy prime minister and leader of the party Anwar Ibrahim is scheduled to speak. One of its top officers, Mr Tian Chua, was in Singapore last week to speak at a forum.
The youth wings of the SDP and PKR work closely together with the common objective of encouraging the youths in Singapore and Malaysia to get more involved in politics as well as to promote the democratisation of our countries.

As Dr Chee is prevented from attending the dinner, Assistant Secretary-General Mr John Tan and members of the Young Democrats will represent the SDP.
