A group of Singaporeans staged a protest against the Japanese animation distributor Odex’s demand for Internet Service Providers to disclose the identities of the “illegal downloaders”.
Eight young men and women set up a “People’s Action Figures Party” at a corner at the Youth Park near Exeter Road last Saturday, 25 Aug 07.
The protest consist of a display of toy action figures lined up carrying anti-Odex props & placards in a mock demonstration.
As the protesters and their figurines arrived at the park, they were met by four riot police buses. The police took down their identities and video-recorded the group’s activity.
