Cadre Members

Cadre Members of the party are a dedicated group who actively uphold the party's values and mission. Appointed by the CEC, typically in small, carefully-curated batches once every two years in tandem with the Ordinary Party Conference (OPC) cycle, they play a crucial role in strategic planning, shaping policy, and mobilising support within and beyond the party.

Unlike regular members, cadre members have voting rights - which means they are able to elect fellow cadre members to the party's CEC, alongside other matters tabled for discussion during OPCs. On that note, only cadre members are eligible for nomination to positions within the CEC, and are usually long-serving members whose contributions have been deemed suitably valuable to the wellbeing of the party.

Members

Members of the party are typically selected from a pool of long-serving Changemakers, or are individuals who have been affiliated with the party for an adequate length of time as deemed by the leadership. Our Members contribute across areas such as research, community outreach, and advocacy, bringing their professional expertise and passion for change to the party. Their collective efforts help drive the SDP’s vision for a fairer, more inclusive Singapore, playing a key role in the party's ongoing outreach and political activities.

Changemakers (Volunteers)

SDP Changemakers are the backbone of the party, playing a vital role in supporting the party's outreach and advocacy efforts. Our dedicated Changemakers contribute their time and skills to a range of activities, including organising events, conducting house visits, and engaging with the community to raise awareness about the party's policies and vision.

Young Democrats

The Young Democrats, the youth wing of the Singapore Democratic Party, was established in 1996 with the aim of engaging young Singaporeans in the political process and providing a platform for youth activism and leadership within the party.

Since its inception, the Young Democrats have played a key role in promoting the values of democracy and social justice among the younger generation in Singapore through events and activities such as workshops, forums, and various outreach programmes.

Women's Wing

The Singapore Democratic Party's Women's Wing is dedicated to addressing issues that specifically affect women in Singapore and advocating for gender equality.

The group’s efforts are focused on empowering women through political engagement, promoting policies that support women's rights, and raising awareness of social issues such as gender discrimination, healthcare, and work-life balance.
